Do You Need an Expensive Coffee Maker?

I've been getting a lot of questions on coffee machines and brewing methods I recommended.

I just want to say, I really believe you do not need an expensive coffee maker to make a good cup of coffee. Things that will definitely make a difference is the filter you use, the bean ground sizes and how hot your water is as well as ground to water ratios. It is all in the prep work!

Personally I love a good pour over and moka pot. These are cheap options for coffee that make a big difference. Even a simple French press will give you full body flavor. You do not need a 400$ espresso machine or 200$ ninja if you are trying to achieve best results.

I've had coffee the old fashion way where my mom threw a culinary sock full of grounds in hot water on a stove.

I keep a 20$ coffee maker from Walmart in my office that makes a better cup than my parents ninja.

One thing I will say is if you truly want to experience coffee and all its goodness is do not use a pod coffee maker. They are fine for a quick cup but they do not do coffee justice. Usually their pods have some sort of instant coffee or easy degradable grounds. If you are buying Cawfee for a pod coffee maker you will not enjoy it. Our Cawfee needs time to steep. Pod coffee makers do not do that because they push a constant stream of hot water through which will result in watered down coffee.
